Guitar Amp Headphone Recommendation

So my good pair of headphones that I was using for my guitar amp (Pics below) broke yesterday & I need a new pair now. I need some over-the-ear headphones are durable, with minimal sound bleeding through to the outside world, accurate sound reproduction, and that can withstand the extreme high &...

Re: How to get a specific sound

UPDATE: So I was messing around the other day and had an interesting breakthrough: The notes I was playing were intense, but not the sound I was looking for. The feedback between notes, however, often had the exact sound, pitch, that I was looking for. I have attached a file w/ the pedal settings I ...

How can I ‘play’ Samples with my Guitar?

Anyone here know of any way (Devices, Pedals, Synthesizers, Computer Software or Programs) that I could download an audio sample to, and be able to use that sample as my guitar tone (as in every note I play is a variation of the sample, like I was using an effects pedal)), and I’d be able to use tha...

Re: How to get a specific sound

Dumb question, but is there any way I could plug 1 of those Sampling Keyboards, or any sort of Sampling device, into my guitar (or into pedals that are plugged into my guitar) and 'play' a short sound sample (like in the Ferris Bueller's Day Off scene with the cough noises) with my guitar? I don’t k...

Re: How to get a specific sound

Maybe some would consider it cheating but midi samples of noise triggered by the guitar? You would have to create a multuide of samples specific to each note but then you could get the exact noise you wanted every time you played a certain note. Is that possible? At 1 point I was looking for a devi...

Re: How to get a specific sound

Interesting idea. Maybe I missed the point, or didn’t read closely enough, but do you think that there’s any way, such as removing only some of the wax or using a good Compressor and/or Noise Gate (or 2), anything I could do to get that sort of vicious feedback sound, with coherent (enough) notes*, ...

Extended Techniques & Noise-Guitar ‘Picks’

For anyone here who does noise on guitar, what sort of object(s) have you had any luck using as a makeshift guitar pick, or do you just use a regular guitar pick?….. Any recommendations?
I myself am putting some serious thought into buying a mini vibrator to use as a pick.

Re: How to get a specific sound

It also sounded, to me (I very well may be wrong, so do take everything I say with a box of salt) like there were multiple instruments playing simultaneously. For what it's worth the samples are from the Borbetomagus album 'Experience The Magic', with 3 people (2 Tenor Saxs & a Guitar) playing,...

Re: How to get a specific sound

High pass filter only allows high frequencies to pass through it therefor eliminating low frequencies
Hmm, I’m interested! Any pedals out there (preferably cheaper ones) that could do that for me?

Re: How to get a specific sound

Also what do you mean by a 'high pass filter', NoiseWiki? And no I'm not familiar with amplitude envelopes. Honestly I'm just starting to (sort of) figure out how to make decent enough noise music, so I still have a lot to learn (obviously)
