19" standard for all of my rack gear. The modular GSC bays are 4U (within the standard 19" rack convention). Modules plug into a backplane for power via Cinch 250-10-30-170 PCB board edge connectors, it would not surprise me if the voltage to pin on those connectors (and the placement of the PCB fingers) is unique to the GSC 1200 series of modules. I'm thinking about whipping up some PCBs that can slot into the Cinch to power up some homebrew.

Power connection is via the PCB fingers at upper left, the fingers at lower left are not connected to anything inside these particular racks.

So yeah, not directly compatible with euro (3U), though there are some 4U formats I think it safe everything would need customization. An aspect that really dates this stuff is the strong negative rail (5 amp fused) compared to the positive rail (1 amp fused) indicative of early transistors which were widely of PNP polarity. So even slapping some fresh designs into this hardware might demand some careful consideration of designs or just modification of the power supply.

Local surplus outlet store had an enclosed AV/server rack.

Holy shit!

How many watts are on tap with the bottom 4 units?

Fun fact Bob Heil invented the Talk Box.

Bear in mind that the stuff in this rack is essentially storage at present, and several of the amplifiers are experiencing issues and awaiting attention.

The bottom two amps are AB International Precedent 1100As, I have a third example of this amp racked elsewhere that serves as my daily driver. Those amps are 525 watts per channel into 8 ohms and are stable down to 2 ohms where they will justify the model name and are rated at 1100 watts per. It'll also do 1700 watts bridged into 4, but that's an application I'm not inclined to chase. My main runner sees very light duty and so I have the forced air cooling fan disconnected.

Third from the bottom is a Soundcraftsmen RA7502. This is rated to produce 250 watts per side into 8 ohms and is stable down to 4 ohms (at 500 watts). It claims to bridge into a neat 1000 watts at 8 ohms.

I don't have specs for the Heil 400, but my guess is a clean 150 per side into 8, and 200 if you're pushing your luck. There's no speaker protection designed in on this one, so it generally sees light duty as well.

One of these years I do hope to set my PA up in a purpose built space to relive the glory of noise BBQs.
