I'm only guilty of having seen pictures of the instrument in question (well, I have touched one, but it's been over 25 years and I haven't a fucking clue about that thing). Those two holes between the rear pup and bridge are for mounting the hex pup, right? The wiring probably dives down that mousehole looking gap in the bridge pup. ..but are those pickups not simply normal pickups, not critical for anything beyond some clean blend electric guitar to accompany the synthesis engine?

I just remembered that a friend dropped his sparkly Dean 7 string mangler project on me before moving north. I just dug it out, and it's in a lot better shape than I remembered. It has an open ground buzz that needs fixing...
