You fuckers know I don't have the $$$ for this shit, let alone what the hell I'd even do with it, but since it's a stone's throw away from me I'd be remiss if I didn't preserve this for posterity:

This is not to be confused with that other big synth sale going on right now (some German guys: craft-jerk, I think they were called?)

Damn, I've wanted a Maxi-Korg for many years...
It's part of the signature sound of early Soft Cell!

I wonder why Behringer haven't cloned it yet...

Oh man, that's a nice heap. Nary a synth under four digits though, eeesh.

This guy surfaced near me:

Still out of reach. Only thing near me that I'm really curious in is this: https://eugene.craigslist.org/msg/d/eug ... 18215.html

But money is tight, maybe if I shift some more builds...

@FAP - Needs more ARP Avatar.
@CROCHAMBEAU - If only this would work with an Avatar.

Wrecked the company, but what a sound.

I'd guess that the Roland GK-1 hex pickup could manage to interface with the hex input of the Avatar without too much engineering. That $2300 cost of entry puts it out of reach though

The GM-70 set-up is particularly enticing to me since I tend to work a lot in MIDI. I expect (not having researched this at all, but based on ownership of a same era Roland synth) that each string is going to output on a different channel, opening things up to some weirdo olympics.
When in doubt, add resistance.
