It sounds pretty nice for what it is. The only weirdness that I see with it are its MIDI ports (maybe just a new version?)

Standard MIDI protocol only uses three of the conductors, so they can get away with slapping a TRS mini phone plug on it. If you search "MIDI to 1/8 cable" you'll see a bunch of 'em.

agreed, those PLL boxes, either the original and the clones look cool af
a guy in my area is selling one right now
was tempted to grab it, but ultimately decided that what it actually does does not justify the price tag
still got time to change my mind though...
