That's shopped man.
By '87 Roland was pumping out a lot of mostly knob free synths, all of which rocked MIDI as standard. Not to cast shade on the older, better stuff.

Wouldn't it be neat if the corridor leading to this room was "an intended 24 inches" that has shrunk enough that one must walk sideways in order to enter the space? I guess that's way too ableist to pass muster in a gallery, but it still holds the keys to my heart.

One of my favorite artists Chris Burden did a couple of installations in galleries along these lines..
In this case as each visistor to the gallery enters thropugh a turnstile that turns a crank that puts pressure on the gallery walls but the gearing is so fine that it'd need an unlikely number of visitors to do any harm to the structure of the building

There's was another piece that I'm pretty sure was Burden's where in order to enter the gallery you had to pass through a narrow doorway with two nude persons standing on either side and it was study in which way you turned to pass through because one nude was male and the other female or something like that
