I wasn't really feeling the noise today, so I cleaned up the garage studio. Introducing the Suck Dungeon, which is now its name largely because I'm not in an especially good mood. Soak it in. I've got a guitar area where all the stands go, floor space for the pedals, and the table takes everything else (save for some stuff I put to the side out of frame). I've got the amp propped up for ease of feedback.

Even if you took a few years and learned all the chords you'd still have a limited number of options. If you ignore the chords your options are infinite and you can master guitar playing in one day. - David Fair

Just ordered a 100 sqft of Mass Loaded Vinyl sound insulation for the garage door.. mostly to block out the sound of the neighbors.. anything they do in their driveway sounds like it's inside my garage.

I'm still coming to grips with the Maths and VB. I can make plenty of PE sqwuip-squwip-squwip-plbbbbbbbttttttttt-pbt-pbt-pbt sounds, though. Two grand well flushed.

I like the mini blackfly.

I switched out the standard springs on mine and made all manner of bolt on accessories. Crap photo but yesterday I took some metal swarf from the lathe at work, welded on some washers and turned them into metal springy things. Sounds pretty great actually as each one has its own identity - plus you can get them bouncing off each other for added chaos. Hope the weld holds for a while.

The weather is starting to warm up so I'm going to have add a vent so I can get some AC in the garage.. spent part of yesterday putting thermal insulation on the garage door.

Regarding the Blackfly module: It's been pretty fun so far. It's very responsive. More so than I'd anticipated... I'm using it to alter the pitch of the FM Ogre, and just squeezing the two springs slightly between my fingers makes the pitch wobble like crazy.
