Re: Recent Acquisitions
I think I am up to 10 Death Metal pedals spread across the 3 DOD/Digitech variants now.

Re: Recent Acquisitions
I haven't bought any gear in 12 months now. Feels good actually, to familiarise myself with what I've got and experiment. Plus I'm broke. So no choice really (and all I've done is sell stuff)

Re: Recent Acquisitions
PS: The omnipresent DS-1 and the gimmicky micro-Marshall were just extras that seemed to have some potential and made the price seem more bearable. Never owned a DS-1, haven't had time to test it. But I was surprised how much I liked the Marshall amp for plain electric guitar and contact mic use. It makes the electric guitar sound slightly colorized and lo-fi, but without any unwanted bite or loss of note definition... I often just play my electric unplugged, and am usually disappointed at the sound when attempting to record it plugged into anything. While the mini-amp does color the sound, everything is still fairly chiming and well defined and doesn't get lost in buzzing mush. Sounds a lot like I am still playing unplugged in that respect. Pleasantly surprised.

Re: Recent Acquisitions
Bought another broken Akai MB76, it arrived today.
Does not pass signal (it was listed as such), I'm hoping it's as easy as a dropped power rail in the analog side of things. My first one needed a regulator replaced to wake up.

Re: Recent Acquisitions
Picked up an open reel tape memory module today. It's missing one of the reels (it has supply and take up reels stacked). Late 1960s half inch seven track, playback only from the look of things. I'll have to tinker about with getting any transport action, via that Amphenol trunk connector out back.
