Good question my inclination is to say its a vibrato on the chorus so you have some variation in it but I'd prefer one where you could vary the pitch of the chorus.. one of my favorite DAW effects was to stack several defined copies and mix then together

This is chorus as it is meant to sound and be.
Any other arguements are invalid.
