I had a large synth (since sold on), but it didn't really click until I got a matrix switch. how is everyone else doing it :rofl: ?

jokes about math aside, it's pretty obvious that how you set up your gear is what makes hn interesting... hence my question.

ok, what gear made your setup "work"

for me, it was a matrix mixer... I sold it along with more than half of my synth, but I have a lot less options for dynamic change now

A box with kill-switches, and a handheld mono splitter with kill-switches for each output. Can be always-on, or always-off. While I'm not holding buttons on the main box, I'm arsing around with gear. It's also fun to have someone from the crowd who doesn't make noise play with me, when they don't know what the equipment does or sounds like, it's really great.

Playing noise for people who have never heard noise is the best audience to play for.. unless it's in an eating establishment

Also I'm working on some audience participation based sets
