Piezo Mikrofone Experiments
pulled apart some of my old piezo drum triggers2midi for new project...
horrific ground sounding hum with mic signal when when plug it into amp...
it's not made with guitar cable(old phone line wire or something)...
Question: Does it need shielded instrument cable???
Answer: Yes

"Stockhausenesque" Piezo Project
swapped the phonewire braided scrap junk made that trigger with in 90s/2000s for shielded guitar and the hum is gone...
ordered 20 more since don't feel like digging through suitcases of cables for old DIY midi drum triggers...
want taping them for some old cymbals & experimenting...
plus have violin with bow/rosin around here...
also some extra tremolo springs for making something....
went and bought superballs for creating "noise mallets" out of extra drumsticks...
for eerie howl sounds on balsa wood & such

Re: Piezo Mikrofone Experiments
found another old DIY MIDI drum trigger...
and promptly destroyed it attempting salvaging it....
whatever... have more Piezos coming...
then on strange hunch found my 50's De Armond Acoustic Bass pickup!
been looking everywhere for it recently...
it's some type of crystal piezo encased in metal body with cork contact pad...
recorded "party Noise Maker"
was on my list...
better completely rebuilding my 60s/70s German "Shadow" contact microphone...
there is a dent in the contact metal....
time for the anvil...
hmmm... wonder if there is some cork around here???
officially it is considered a De Armond Upright Bass "Tranceducer"
