Re: The FuzzBox Thread
Apologies, I'm a lazy asshole and didn't grab teh part numbers on the transistors. Dual mono, mains powered (clutch pearls!) has seen extensive use.Indeterminacy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 9:55 am
Gut shot of the FizzPhaktoree your relative built(?) please.
My uncle built this, maybe around the turn of the century, while I was still uncomfortable with anything but tubes.
Sorry for poo-pooing the Germanium worship, it just seemed like I'd stumbled on some bog standard tone zombie guitar forum by mistake for a moment.

Part numbers are of a lesser concern. Why did he go with dual mono ?crochambeau wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 3:27 pm

For Guitar Noise if you want silicon tone look no further than Otomo Yoshihide's weapon of choice.

Re: The FuzzBox Thread
I got my terminology swapped, this is a stereo unit - not dual mono, owing to the fact that the gangs in the pots are tied to a single shaft.
It was built for me, and was in a hard two channel mindset (I was working mainly with drum machines and synths at the time) stereo sub mixing, etc.
