Apologies, I'm a lazy asshole and didn't grab teh part numbers on the transistors. Dual mono, mains powered (clutch pearls!) has seen extensive use.

My uncle built this, maybe around the turn of the century, while I was still uncomfortable with anything but tubes.

Sorry for poo-pooing the Germanium worship, it just seemed like I'd stumbled on some bog standard tone zombie guitar forum by mistake for a moment. ;)
When in doubt, add resistance.

Part numbers are of a lesser concern. Why did he go with dual mono ?

For Guitar Noise if you want silicon tone look no further than Otomo Yoshihide's weapon of choice.

I got my terminology swapped, this is a stereo unit - not dual mono, owing to the fact that the gangs in the pots are tied to a single shaft.

It was built for me, and was in a hard two channel mindset (I was working mainly with drum machines and synths at the time) stereo sub mixing, etc.
When in doubt, add resistance.
