Some of my designs will be enjoying build it yourself status soonish.

Curious where people fall on the component kit versus just PCB and docs spread? Mind you, a kit will *not* include metal work so housing would be on the builder.

I design around completely jelly bean parts, so sourcing stuff shouldn't be a challenge at all.

EFM Synthesizers was located in Houston, Texas USA. EFM had been on the web since 1996 selling boards and kits to the DIY synthesizer community. The site includes schematics for ARP, Moog, Oberheim, Korg, and EMS-type voltage controlled filters, oscillators, amplifiers, and everything else you might need to build a modular synth. This an archive keeping Tom Gamble's EFM work evolving. EFM Users is for people that use electronics for making music. Synthesizers, computers, software, midi keyboards, midi modules, DIY electronics, guitar amps, stompboxes, transistor radiosxe2x80xa6.ect are all legitimate topics. EFM projects are for experienced DIY builders, because project often require mods to the PCBs, and documentation assumes a high level of electronics experience.

Same. I have a handful of PCBs I ordered over the years I never got around to because I can't be arsed ordering parts, but every kit I bought that included parts gets built. I'm just too fuckin' lazy.

I recently got one of these (pre-built though). It sounds great. The MIDI input is a huge plus because they keyboard, while interesting, isn't the most responsive input interface out there.
