I have an OD sound computer, so can do cut up in the analog / eurorack woman now. but I got nothing, no sense of what I want to do with it, maybe cos it's not gear centred enough. cut up sounds great, but...

What? What's an OD sound computer? Are you cutting up women now?

Ah.. i have one if these but have not done much with it.. don't really feel like selling it. I bought it directly from Orthogonal but whenever the waiting list gets long the resell prices go up.

After cruising the orthogonal website .. he tweeted early October that he was having a manufacturing issue and has not reopened the waiting list so that would certainly be fueling his resell prices

I make cut up noise without a computer. Just make a box with momentary buttons on it that allow sounds through when you push them.

I use cut and paste with a computer.
Or
Record/pause/rewind/record with a tape deck.

I didn't have a. sampler or tape player, etc., and the OD module can be used for more thiings that any other eurorack module I know of.

it seems to really go against the rest of noise: gear obsession, dynamic / static duality, improv, 'harshness' even.

don't compose... so what then? it just doesn't seem like something you can enjoy doing.
