Heh.. I watched this doc by Penn and Teller about visiting India and they interviewed all these traditional fakirs.. they brought all their own food. Guess one of the things they learned as globe trotting performers is that you can't trust the local cuisine if getting food poisoning will interfere with your work. A former coworker of mine visited India several times and said he got food poisoning the second time he went for a wedding and not only are you sick but finding a decent toilet is impossible. He also said he say people catching fish in what were basically open sewers and then selling them on the street so no thanks.. fermented fish curry although it may certainly be safer than eating it any other way there.RUBBISH wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 10:03 am Yes the article mentioned some traditional methods of curing meats. In south India they have some thing that's small whole fish in curry spices that sits for 6 months or so in a bucket before you eat them. No refrigeration and south India has 100 degree regular temps...its edible and safe...I suppose. Steak Tatar is another example.

Re: Random Quotes
Yeah.. but I would still advise being choosy about where you eat.. if for no other reason than you don't want to lose time while travelling and unless you are going to be in one place for a long time you'll be sick the entire trip or sick while flying home if you take more risks towards the end of the trip.
Not that there was much risk but tow3ards the end my stay in the UK I went to my favorite Indian place in London and splurged and got really blasted on these mixed drinks and then had to make my way back to Watford which is no short distance from London.. lol

Like when I made a slit in the side of an M&M with a razor blade and slipped a hit of acid in it that I then gave to Noah at 5:00 AM the morning after we'd been up all night from partying cause we performed a crappy show on a side stage at Lollapalooza

In conclusion, it’s true: Americans are ignorant about many things. However, Europeans are hardly much better and sometimes their provincialism makes them worse.

By playing two tiny drums, physicists have provided the most direct demonstration yet that quantum entanglement — a bizarre effect normally associated with subatomic particles — works for larger objects.
