What's pricey?
I don't mind $15 or even $20 a pound for the good stuff.
How's $100 a lb grab ya?
That comes out to about $3 per cup of coffee...more or less.
That doesn't seem like too much but it is about 6 times what I pay for the good coffee I get and close to 15-17 times what I pay for the OK coffee I get.
This cheap Jamaican blend is alright but the stuff I get at Aldi is better

Last time I saw civet cat beans they were on sale for $50 a pound because nobody wanted pooped out beans!

If goofs will pay $25 or more a gram for certain weed strains that aren't much better than $7 a gram strains I see $100 a pound coffee as a similar deal.
Granted I can't really afford that but probably would get some at least once.

How did you brew this high end coffee?

Well first I grind it in our burr grinder and then I have 1 cup brewer.

I enjoyed the coffee but I wouldn't pay a $100 a lb on a regular basis unless it was getting me high or something... lol

I guess I'd try some of that cat poop coffee but last I heard there's so much fake cat poop coffee that somebody developed a DNA test to validate if what you had was real cat poop coffee or not

I like to try different flavors and brands .. just switching around and coming back to favorites keeps them interesting

Instant coffee is an evil Joke.
Back in the "before time" when there wasn't a Starbucks or some such on every corner.
I worked at a hardware store and the only option for break beverage was instant coffee.
That was dull, stupid work. So I suppose a dull, stupid beverage was perfect for the break....
Soloman Tump wrote: Wed Sep 02, 2020 3:19 am I would rather drink 1 good cup of coffee a day, than the 3 or 4 shite cups of instant stuff I have while at work.

My wife's sister brought us back some Costa Rica beans at the start of the year and whilst very mellow in strength, have a nice taste.
Not a team player. Doesn't take unsolicited advice. Otherwise charming...

I haven't noticed why or what features might indicate when a bean will have a weak flavor but I adjust the amount of grind I brew with if it is
