Oh that herd immunity can derive from a vaccine or having the virus, in fact from my very limited knowledge of how vaccines work, a virus which doesn't give in itself herd immunity will likewise not be susceptible to a vaccine, as vaccines work by stimulating the immune system as if it was attacked by the real thing. Oh, and to compare flu, a set of different viruses, with one in particular is at best misleading.

The difference here being that with covid there is a higher risk of death by being exposed to the virus in the wild as opposed to a working vaccine.

Im not saying covid is the same as flu. Im saying covid is more dangerous. But there have been plenty of people including Orange Shit Gibbon who have. Orange Shit Gibbon even thought vaccines for the flu would work for c19. My whole fucking point is that it's not just like the flu there fore one cannot apply the same approach or make the same assumptions about herd immunity that's why you need to continue with social distancing etc. Without a vaccine for c19 trying to achieve herd immunity is dangerous. But it is a virus so they do have some things in common.

Best case scenario was that a majority of people infected would have some sort of immunity but appears to not be the case. Also as far as I know even if a %100 of people infected were now immune that is not enough to achieve herd immunity.

So let's say whether it's natural infection or a vaccine if only %50 of people develop immunity that is not enough for herd immunity from what I've read and it may be less than %50 that develop immunity and %100 natural infection is going to kill alot of people.

There's zero fucking reason to debate this with me other than to be annoying. You don't know and I don't know what's going to fucking happen so in the meantime I'm going to hunker down and stay inside or wear a mask in public and wait for a vaccine.

Again you conflate herd immunity from a vaccine with herd immunity from the actual virus. Both give A CERTAIN amount of immunity as far as my little knowledge, though using a vaccine is far far safer! Having said that they still can cause side effects...

Sure.. what we have seen in general is how fragile the supply chain is if there is any pressure applied. I don't think this is a soecific weakness of capitalism per se. Maybe it is. I suppose socialist society you wouldn't beable to panic buy several tons of toilet paper thus denying anybody who just wanted to wipe their ass for the next month.

One thing that should not fucking happen is dumping money on Tyson to bail him out.. if they need PPE for their employees that's one thing. If the suppliers of chickens and pigs etc need feed while in a holding pattern til the factories reopen.
