WTF! Guess it can happen when ya get older and/or walk/run a lot.
(I do about 6 to 8 miles a day...thats like 1/10th of the way width wise across your country...lol)
Some stretching sorted it out but man it hurt.
Yea I have that shit too mostly in one foot.. it hasn't been bothering me as much since I got a cortisone shot (that hirt a whole fucking lot) and also stopped hiking.

There's a stretch that helped. Helped a lot actually.
The affected foot and leg out behind you with the foot flat on the ground with a slight knee bend with the other leg.
Also used a scarf to tie my toes up towards my leg while sitting around. There's an expensive brace that does the same thing.
Oh and using one of my dogs play balls to massage the bottom of my foot...he got mad and barked until I gave it back so I had to sneak it out of his toy box.

Wonder if Luke oils his communist poet beard?

Lol. The national park I live next to is 368 square miles, and that's only a small part of my county.

Either way, Planar Fasciitis is ouch. I bruised my heels from running over Christmas which was pure pain - soft tissue damage on both feet. Took about 6 weeks to heal up but they still burn a bit now if I've been stood for a while. Morale of the story is. Don't run

Thats just 10 by 36 miles.

Mark Twain national forest in my state is 1.5 million square acres or 2,331 square miles.
UK square millage: 93,628
My Podunk state of Missouri square millage: 69,715

Even with America's 2 million or so miles of paved roads there are areas that are just empty. There is no major highway from the south( east west diagonal highway 44 from St Louis to Springfied along an ancient Indian trail between the dip in the ozarks plateau. It gets very rough south of the dip) of my state into Arkansas because its so rough and thinly populated. Lots of 2 lane scary ass twisty roads....for a few 100 miles. Its also scary Deliverance type country.

I hear people in Europe/UK talking about horrible 2 hour train rides across the country or into other countries.
Two hours at 70mph is about 2/3rds the way across my state in a car. The train takes way longer and the nearest station is about 45 min to an hour drive south of me. Oh and the train now only goes once a day each way so you're stuck in whatever city over night now.

Yea I tried everything but basically the only thing that gave me any lasting relief was the shot
