Well I went to KCAI and got my BA from SAIC.. I also went to two different art schools while in HS one my junior year and the other my senior year. As well as a summer program, a night class and with a private art teacher besides the typical art class in grade school .. whats it to you?

Actually if it makes any difference one of the reasons I transferred from KCAI to SAIC was because I had intended to go into sculpture but most of the senior projects were big and dumb but also I had gotten interested in sound and performance art which Chicago was a better city for but ending up more interested in video and computer graphics. At some point towards the end of my education it was obvious 95% of my fellow students were certainly not going to be fulltime artists but I wonder what the batting average for majors and jobs at most colleges. Anyway the student in the image above sounds like a prick anyway

Lack of basic skills and not being taught.
My wife worked with young people that didn't work with oil paints in art school.
And they were painting majors. The oil was the problem due to lack of proper
ventilation.
