This type of music tends to challenge the distinction that is made in conventional musical practices between musical and non-musical sound.

SATANS GOD - Metropolis 2000 tape
1st release 1997
SATANS GOD - Rabbit Intestines tape
Newest release 2019
15744627433501202209482.jpg
SATANS GOD is the intersection where metal bass guitar meets experimental noise opera.
Yes this guy has a reputation and I don't care. Nice guy if you're not a fake.
The sounds...as I said metal bass guitar meets noise...seems to be telling a story or even performing actual songs of a sort. I like this. Its a good change from the noise norm.
Over all this is strange experimental music with an old school heavy metal influence. Not difficult listening. Good road trip music.

MISANDER//White Phosphorous - The Can Not Continue tape C20 or 15 I'm thinking
Tridroid Records 2019

This has hard left political themes

MISANDER is coming off with some percussive industrial noise type sounds. Samples and distorted vocals. Not bad.
I kinda wanna hear what else they do...

White Phosphorous. Deep bass synth samples distorted angry vocals harsh industrial. Power Electronics vibe not sure they identify as such. Pretty fun militant stage show. Good performance live.
They also had a wide variety of cool merch..no t shirts at the end of the tour...fuck...
I did get a stack of posters and stickers and this tape oh and some patches!

Overall. Its alright. I do like this.

HARSH NOISE WALL

Planet Shithead/CPTN UZNCWZ C90(really fucking long)
haironmyfood tapes 2019

Planet Shithead...ok...is this a wall...I suppose it is. Its loud and unrelenting. I have it cranked up..I hear variations, wait we've rounded the corner on to wall #2...oh yeah here's it is I was wondering where the bass was. I enjoy this more than I thought I would. Massive metallic crumbling sounds.

Oh the titles.
1 choking your chicken and also yourself
2 random scabs
3 a good way to get punched in the dick(my personal favorite)

CPTN UZNCWZ...now I'm biased because I like this guy and he's a local and have played shows with him numerous times and he gets better every time.
The best way to hear this guys noise is live. He is really good and highly reccomended.

Dusty leaf mold.
Ghosts and spirits.
Haunted woods.
That's what's this sounds like.

Nice slick color cover. Loud dub.
Good tape.

ACID LEATHER - Baptized In Acid
Self released tape

Going to do a show with these guys in January and I'm rather intimidated.
They are classic thrash death metal.
Lots of wild changes all over the place.
Celtic Frost Bathory Venom all come to mind. Live they put on a show.
The lead singer is a scary brute.
One problem rather a bonus...if you listen to this on bandcamp or YouTube it sound almost too clean but the tapes all sound slightly different andd fucked up.
I personally like hearing it slightly fucked up.
This is the tape to be playing if you were to be arrested for doing things to dead bodies.

This is a nice combination of field recordings, synths or synth-like effects, and scrap metal/material action/percussion. Lots of processed field recordings of frogs, probably some paint strippers on cymbals, and maybe some very subtle modular work with a bit of distortion.

Received in trade along with 2 other tapes ill try to review. Was sent doubles and will share them. Somewhat lopsided trade on my part...I should have sent more!

Chris Reierson - Sensitive to Textures 2017

Nice packaging. Looks good.
I would call what I'm hearing now...45 seconds into track 2 on side A...cinematic soundscapes. If I had to call it something other than noise. This is something that is more approachable compared to some straight up harsh electronic noise that you could throw at someone. This is nice with some creepy lost dream like noises that just now harshed out really loud...harsh drone wall ending on that track.
Track 4 Bladrunner bad wire trip in the virtuality.
1601153582565568154835.jpg
Side B...obtuse and eccentric I agree. This has just enough structure to make a 'normal' person ask why are you listening to this is this music whatisthisturnitdown...
This over all seems to have a more traditional noise style....2nd track Enola has serious NON black album feel and sound to it. I really like this track. This is a good harsh noise track.
Title track...cinematic build. Vast ethereal over distant harsh landscape. Harsh loops very good. Excellent ending.

I'm gonna recommend this for something not so blatantly harsh and more in the strange and odd area. This does have its more unreasonable moments that will make for good uncomfortable listening.

Some materials from Daint.
I must and will with out any shame at all suggest my new release on this label
RUBBISH - New Normal Same Old Nonsense!
https://daintrecordings.bandcamp.com/

All these tapes are well packaged.

1601155774402787328054.jpg
ANN Project - Glen Onoko
Dedicated to Glen Onoko Falls, Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania
Daint09 tape

First off this tape is scented and thats a concept I am fully 100% behind.
This is HNW dedicated to a waterfall
If you like HNW tapes that are scented(I do!) and are nature themed then this is the tape for you!

16011560112961276828928.jpg
The Folklore of Shapeshifting - Internet Explorer's Digest
Daint07 tape

Well...this is something. Has a very emotional guitar noodling internet loner thing going on. Its raw and strange. Sounds to be recorded live. The neighbors probably think I'm jaming out on the guitar....this gets musical but sorta retro video game 80s sci-fi type music thats ok I guess but its not cutting it for me today.

16011564733711081933075.jpg
IASOSIST - Passing Storms
Daint01 tape

Very nice packaging.
The mini poster is nice enough to hang on the wall.

Seems to have an esoteric naturalist somewhat eastern concept going on...lets see what happens.
This is starting off very meditative with birds and nature and is becoming more aggro.
Large reverb spaces. Wind.
These tracks just chop off like an old tape recorder. I like that.
A bit more rough I like this...outdoor temple?...not keeping up on tracks so well.
This is a good harsh noise track.
If one wanted they could say this has a Lovecraftian vibe.
Cinematic and more 'mellow'

I would recommend this tape.

1601157813127478876503.jpg
ALL SOUNDS SOURCED FROM TARANTULA FEEDING VIDEOS.

Tape case has prickly black Velcro on the front for a nice tactile bonus.

.birdeater. - Brazilian Blue Dwarf Beauty
Daint06

Dark monolithic type sounds.
Creepy slow crawl.
In the HNW area.

Bipolar Batman - s\t tape

The HNW audio on this tape superior to the hand drawn graphics(printed on nice paper). Loud. Harsh Noise Wall.
Came with a sticker

Side 1 Bipolar is a more crunchy type HNW
Side 2 Batman is more of a harsh drone type wall.

Hard to choose what side I prefer but side 2 Batman seems to be doing it.

10564+FAP - Live tape

Side one rehearsal and live 2015
I am really liking this rehearsal.
Really good 'noise jam' and I mean that in a good way. Lots of rough creepy noise. Theres some vocals and percussive type sounds. Crashing metal. All in a small room. Everything you want to hear with something like this.

I assume this live track is a version of the above. It is. Sounds like its in a bigger room. I like this version. The vocals are good.
Sounds like things are getting abused and shoved around...
I would call this Heavy Noise. skull
Good set!

Side two live 2016
Creepy heavy noise.
Very live.
I like this.

I'm sold. Would enjoy seeing and hearing this live.
Suggested.
