I don't think noise is the deferral of a final or absolute meaning in Derrida's sense, and as he coined the term to show the paradox of meaning, if Diffxc3xa9rance MEANS the deferral of meaning, taken literally that's a paradox, and hence his ideas of deconstruction of a text, to reveal endless meanings and interpretations.

He also uses it to show that writing is not secondary to speech, as Diffxc3xa9rance and Diffxc3xa9rence sound the same, but are not written the same.

Though he also talked of the Dangerous Supplement, and uses Rousseau's confessions of masturbation as an 'example'...?

I have a Spear and Jackson electric chain saw so it only has a limited scope with the extension lead, still it does start first time.

Noise is almost any music that's strange and different than the norm and yes Noise is a genre of music.

I used to like to say that I made noise music and I guess I still do...it makes sense and requires less explanation.
