Noise for/about break ups(?)

This type of music tends to challenge the distinction that is made in conventional musical practices between musical and non-musical sound.

Aside from the SJ mentioned above.
I'm a major Emo fucker, so this question was seemingly made for me. The absolute #1 Noise breakup album is I Am A Lake of Burning Orchids's Summer in my Veins. PE-inspired, but it's definitely about regret and longing as opposed to raving hatred a la SJ. It's one of my favorite noise records. Crazy "harsh ambient" textures, shoegaze influence, arpeggiated synth loops straight from 90's dance clubs, crazy effects-warped screams, fucked up digital clipping, I haven't heard anything else that hits all the same emotional and timbral beats. it really is like Screamo (good, DIY Hardcore-derived Screamo as opposed to bad, Pop Metal-derived "Screamo") through the lense of noise and electronic music. Primo breakup noise.

That said, the works of the love and sexuality centered Navicon Torture Technologies are also great. I quite like NTT, especially Pure Skin. The Stars and The Scars is total breakup PE even if you can't understand a word Leech is saying (which I certainly can't).

Prurient's The History of Aids takes lyrics straight from the 13th century Persian love poet Rumi, who once said "You have to keep breaking your heart until it opens." So even though I once again can't hear a fucking word Dom's saying, I have to assume lost loves are an essential part of the mix.
Even if you took a few years and learned all the chords you'd still have a limited number of options. If you ignore the chords your options are infinite and you can master guitar playing in one day. - David Fair

I've made noise thinking about broken relationships before, but it was mostly late at night, blasting it through my headphones. I don't think I saved any of those sessions, but I kind of wish I have.
Ey thanks!

I've been there lol, especially when I was starting out and had the overboard quality over quantity mindset..ah well

I mean I imagine most female noisers have to deal with a fair amount of that. I had tried to give him some advice to play it cool but his move was to basically propose a new life for them or something as their wife. You have to connect with someone personally otherwise offering them a gilded cage is not appealing.

On a personal note I've had a stalker of sorts. Maybe not in the romantic sense.. not that stalking is ever romantic. I think this person went so far as to call in a fake noise complaint on a show I was doing because they had also been feuding with somebody else on the bill but the Police couldn't figure out where the entrance to the building was and left.

Ultimately I met my wife through the fiance of a noise buddy of mine.
Yeesh, yeah, the amount of "I have a boyfriend"/"I'm a lesbian"/"No" I see female noisers type on the regular is crazy..worked with a guy that sorta did that, he insisted I marry a client's daughter and made me offer her gifts via him thru me...shit was odd af

I'm glad your stalker situation is in the past tense and that you found a spouse thru noise fwiw, shit is really disturbing

I fell in love with almost every man that ever paid attention to me. IIRC, I only "made a song" about one of them.

*PRIVATE BANDCAMP TRACK UNLOCKED!* (because it sucks, but it's relevant. The title is [was] a poetic way of phrasing the desire to have him ejaculate inside my colon)

We do not speak anymore. We really connected over The Smiths, though. Good reason to fall deeply, madly, retardedly in love with someone though, right?
This really captures the whole stress vomiting in the dead of night vibe, I fw it

And it is. My ex and I bonded over that type of shit and it eats at me that I had to let go

Fire of the Mind wrote: Wed Oct 28, 2020 10:12 am The entirety of Sutcliffe Jxc3xbcgend's We Spit On Their Graves was, if I am recalling the old interviews I read correctly, essentially ten hours of Kevin Tomkins venting in the aftermath of an especially ugly breakup and a subsequent emotional and psychological breakdown. Nasty as it gets, it's one of the more constructive products of such a situation that I can think of in the world of noise, even if you take away the sheer volume of material and focus on the actual sounds on display.
My edible just kicked in and I'm listening to WSPOTG rn, I love you and I feel like I'm in a frigid winter village, this feels releasing

Cut it in half and layer it?
...ah...your colon reference reminds me of a line from a dumb song.
Something along the lines of 'may your mouth be the graveyard for all my unborn kids'
It goes on to describe the persons mouth being a butthole.

Anyhow

As far as break up noise type music
I would think some more dark orchestral type stuff that isn't really noise.
HNW would could be good I suppose.
If you're angry some shouty nasty PE.

Lol, the "may your mouth be the graveyard for all my unborn kids", the porn star, Wesley Pipes who's famous for his quips once told a female, "I'm gonna turn your throat into an orphanage"..not the best dirty talk irl

This is the closest noise break up thing I could recall

I've seen him at a few shows but it feels less like he's following me and more like we just have the same taste in shows but it's been well over a year now but only because of the pandemic. It was just creepy as fuck when the first time I had gotten a message from him in a long time was because I accidentally friended one of his accounts on facebook and he said something like I saw you at that show and I was close enough enough to touch you or something like that. :scream:
