what brings cunts to noise?

This type of music tends to challenge the distinction that is made in conventional musical practices between musical and non-musical sound.

what brings cunts to noise?

Post by falc0nhoof »

I've noiticed that there is an increase in people around me hat are noise curious...... Last time I felt the same was back in 2009'ish. Back then we had the 'the big short' financial crisis... unemployment, no jobs, no money etc. Right now, most of the world is going through a similar level of uncertainty with housing, salary and depending on where you are... access to basic healthcare. Has anyone else noticed an increase in noise interest? Or do you real old noise fucks remember anything similar happeing when big stuff happened in the 90's or late 00's?

that is my observation as well. however imho people just like more extreme sounds, be it noise, hard techno or industrial, public mostly doesn't leave, this was not the case 5 years ago. if a person has a latent tendency towards harsher sound, these are exactly the times for that to get out in conscious preferences.

also, they mostly aren't cunts as topic says, just curious people drifting through musical wavescapes, we all do. i tried to quit making and listening noise and failed several times, so there is something more or less constant for everyone to inhabit and other genres are just moving around. would be interesting to have different perspectives like when people drift towards jazz or (name your preferred category).
