Re: Current fleeting interests too
Earthbound.
Every time I've played it (Emulated. I've never owned the physical game or SNES), I either got stuck or somehow lost or accidentally overwrote my saves. I got the sudden urge to play it again this past weekend, though. I had Tuesday off and pretty much spent the whole day playing it, squeezing in a load of laundry and a shower and little else in between. I woke up early before work this morning and played some more until I had to go.
The first time I played the game, I got fairly close to the end, only to realize I was stuck without an important item that made progressing practically impossible. I've had such bad luck with somehow always losing my saves on every subsequent attempt. I doubt I'll ever finish the game. Iit gets extremely difficult near the end supposedly. But it's strangely addictive, even though, as with all JRPG's, all I do is grind mindlessly for hours so I can kill bosses in 1-4 rounds. I'm not willing to expend the mental energy required for actual strategizing.

HAHA! Fuck sobriety. A cat died. Perfect excuse to drink.
Fuck the world. Fuck the WHOLE world!
I do not intend to make this a regular thing, though... Being drunk again feels a bit weird and gross, and it's making me talk all Social_Drift-style.
Still playing the fuck out of earthbound.

The Johnny Carson Show in particular the Richard Pryor collection.
Its full episodes and the first in this series is January 24th 1974. Making fun of the President being a criminal an actress from the soon to be released film Blazing Saddles (I dont know what kinda dope she's on)...can't wait to see Richard.
Johnny just lite up a cigarette...wow.

is it bad that my fleeting interests are always just unusual sensations and in my body and the ephemeral visual imagery i associate with them?

Had a day long beef with an a former classmate about Nikoka Tesla. He thinks Tesla was overrated and a two bit hack rather than a genius inventor and git too much attention. I blame Elon Musk who is a douche nozzle and stole Tesla's name.
Anyway it does seem like Nikola gets credited for invented alternating current and thats not true. But Tesla coils are fucking coil and actually have practical uses.
