I have been considering whether or not to swan-dive into this particular empty pool since it came to be and I'm still not sure. The bare concrete is so tempting…

dunno if you're been reading about the uk, but both our mainstream parties' heads are engaged in scandals about breaking lock down... local elections today, and it's just been discovered that it wasn't just the tory prime minster and party gate (they had a birthday party) but his labour counterpart and "beer gate"

one would hope pretty harmless. the uk seems to be a lot more stable politically than America. while I am a socialist, political instability is, I think, pretty useless for my nefarious socialist goals, which necessitates - in effect - mass strikes.

We had a special election in Cali to recall the governor for similar reasons .. it cost like 14 million or something and didn't result in a recall. Basically it was trumped up charges based on the anger of restaurant owners pissed about the lock down during the pandemic. While I agree it's not a good look.. the leadership needs to set the example with this sort of thing I don't think these are the best reasons to recall. Also there were like 30 candidates running in the recall most of which were nitwits but one if them could have won with as little as 5 % of the vote.. so stupid

I can't say the word "strike" without thinking of both the emperor and the band, the band strike anywhere, whom I may well have never listened to hahah
