When I was 10 my mom dated a guy from California and his son came to Kansas city to stay with us and had the first clash tape and a tape he said was sex pistols...it was black flag I later figured out...anyhow I had heard ..seen..rock the casbah and radio clash on MTV and the first clash is really punk and upbeat ..I had mom by combat rock for me...it's not what I was wanting to hear and I hold that against the clash to this day..first tape and few other songs cool othwr than that I do not like the clash at all...I got the sex pistols tape with Christmas money the next year when I was 11...that's what I wanted..someone yelling fuck in a song.
Next tape I bought was the cramps psychedelic jungle that I still have
I bought iy because of urggh a music war that I saw on nightflight....was also on the lookout for Dead Kennedy's tape..that came 6 or so months later

That is pretty much how Lux was dressed although he was wearing open toed high heels when I saw them play in Chicago. At the begging of set he was wearing a leather or pleather jacket and before he took it off there was literally a torrent of sweat spilling out of the sleeves. At some point I touched his foot. They had a new female bass player that could not be heard at all through the mix and at some point she seemed to be looking straight at me gesturing if I could hear her or not and I replied no. It was a great show.. I forget the name of the club it was at.. WW might know but the club was upstairs and on the way out there was a cacophony of empty beer bottles rolling down the stairs.
