Has there been any number crunching regarding possibility that this bug is here to stay ? Like HIV / AIDS.

The flu season that just ended is the 2019 2020 season(usually there would be stories about how bad a season it was but...covid19)
So yeah probably 30k or 40k or more dead from this virus next season..that is 2020 2021.
Last year of data for the regular flu is 2018 and it was a bad season...80k dead from regular flu. Vaccine was crap and other factors I suppose.
Numbers are for the USA
Average is about 30k flu deaths in The USA.
Will this be like hiv?

I live in a rural resort area and its already busy here with out of towers.
The county we border to the north has NO hospital at all and lots of poor old people.
Lots of old people in this general area since it a place to retire to.
The garden shop up the road just opened for the season and it was packed with karens and suburban bettys.
Seems the majority of people here don't or can't care.
