Spent the morning discussing how binary numbers and codes work and how they are related to the abacus. Interesting thing was learning that the guy that came up with binary codes was trying to incorporate logic and his christian beliefs into math.

my uncle just had a book published relating to that and is writing one about the abacus (american) apparently there are 4 or 5 or more different types of abacus..abucai?...aside from the Chinese one most know about.
What I got from him..I think...is that there is 1 and then extensions(not the right term?) Or parts(again not the right term) of 1.
I'm totally mangling that. So yeah..1 or 2.
But the god thing...all the visual charts in this book about math my uncle wrote look like mandalas and he didn't know that until I pointed it out to him. But it does become occultic or metaphysical if you let it. Everything is a product of 1, the all or Brahma or the one source or great spirit or whatever the One. So the religious connection makes sense.
Math!

I'm a gas station knife and flea market sword guy.

I do like judas priest and slayer but not pantera or metalica.

I do not own a mirror with a band or alcoholic beverage logo on it.

I probably like you more than you like me.

The typical noise forum dweller only cares about freedom of speech when they get kicked out of a forum for insulting the owner of said forum :stfu:
