Breakdown Face is a shitcore band from Pontypridd, South Wales who formed in 2010 after the breakup of Colin's former band Dirty Chief. The line-up consists of Colin James MacFarlane, Dafydd 'Taf' Richards and Jake Takel. The band has released 2 studio albums to date.and their lyrical content includes Stoner Robots, getting erections over nurses and school shootings.

History
Shortly after the split of Colin James MacFarlane's old project Dirty Chief, he got together with Dafydd 'Taf' Richards and Lucas Woodland to jam a cover for a school talent show. This jam session developed into the trio playing an old song written by MacFarlane called Framed. The three performed the song at the talent show and decided to continue making music together.

The band met for their first practice, during which they perfected Framed and wrote a new song called A&E. The very next day, they hit Reeltime recording studio in Cathays to record the tracks. After several more practices, the songs Driving Song and The Robot had taken shape and once recorded were released as the band's debut EP The First Breakdown Face...Let's Do This. The Robot was released with a music video and immediately sparked people's attention due to it's comedic and satirical nature.

Schoolboy Error & Lucas' Departure
Following the EP, the band immediately moved on to writing a full length album, consisting of 14 tracks. The album was recorded intermittently over the course of a year and eventually released in May of 2012. The album spawned further music videos for the songs Crew, Skitzo, Schoolboy Error and Punk as Fuck.

Drummer Lucas Woodland left the band shortly after the album's release and was replaced by Jake Takel.
Is it noise?
it can be argued that even "musical" shitcore still is noise because it is intentionally created to be unlistenable garbage that can hardly be called music. In this way, shitcore is an transcendent genre which is in a way above the dichotomy between music and noise.

Breakdown Face is a shitcore band from Pontypridd, South Wales who formed in 2010 after the breakup of Colin's former band Dirty Chief. The line-up consists of Colin James MacFarlane, Dafydd 'Taf' Richards and Jake Takel. The band has released 2 studio albums to date.

Quarter Life Crisis
Breakdown Face have since released another full length album, Quarter Life Crisis, and a music video for the title track and another track titled "I'll do it Tomorrow".

Style,Links Influences
The band originally described their genre as Shitcore, a satirical mixture of comedy punk and metal, designed to be purposely and endearingly bad, but have experimented with Nu Metal in the style of Limp Bizkit. They cite their influences as band such as Black Flag,Anal Cunt Green Day, Metallica and Limp Bizkit.
Shit-core is a genre of noise which can sometimes be musical-ish. it is based on taking the nofi aesthetic to its most absurd end. Shitcore is more an adjective to describe an aspect of the production, for example the recording might sound like shit and be very nofi, the instrumentation may be extremely poorly executed in the case of more musical shitcore, or perhaps the message in the music is based on actual shit. However you look at it though, Shitcore stands in a world of it's own much like post-post-postmodernism (or performatism) simply because it exists outside of the normal perception of noise with it's overpowering shittiness.

The style was originally invented by Napalm Death . And evolved slowly from guitar metal instruments to encompass all variety of shitness even electronic dance music and hiphop versions of shitcore exist today .The band Breakdown Face from South Wales consider themselves shitcore with influences ranging from Green Day, Metallica and Anal Cunt.
50 ways to kill me may be seen as one of the first or most popular and best examples shitcore music projects, while a good example of shitcore noise music would be political necroshemalebob.
