Substrata's approach comes from a non adaptative ethic that leads this project to take the form of traditional record label, net label, production and research platform, publishing artists that works into the fields of noise, drone, ambient and electroacoustic music.

Substrata. periodically publish Strain; publication that focus on contemporary art manifestations, critical theory, media archaeology and culture in relationship with sonic phenomena.

Substrata. collaborates with artists, curators, collectives, institutions, museums and galleries in order to open spaces for the experimental sound arts in Mexico and Latin America.
