Fast Edit Noise (FEN) is a conceptual style of avantgarde music based on the 1950s cartoon series Mr. Magoo. It was intially devised as part of a medical research program which attempted experimental therapy for chronic alcoholism and alcohol-induced psychosis. The program was eventually discontinued due to unsatisfactory results.

20 years later a man with no face was reportedly seen jumping off Golden Gate bridge (San Francisco). A connection with the FEN experimental therapy has yet to be established.
