Millipede
Millipede is the alias of Knoxville/Chattanooga, Tennessee musician Joseph Davenport. Began in 2005 with the release of the limited edition Aquamentus CD-R. Early releases were all related to the Legend of Zelda videogame series with titles such as the Hyrule cassette released on Ohio noise label Epicene ESR and split cassette with Brian Grainger titled Play Ancient Hylian Folk Songs on Milieu Music. Not all releases are related to Zelda though. The project's focus has been the blending of harsh noise and the most abrasive aspects of late 1980s and early 1990s shoegaze mostly through walls of overblown multitracked guitar but also incorporating elements of power electronics, tape music, and musique concréte. (Not to be confused with the dark ambient/IDM project of Don Hill by the same name.)
