Phisting Ass was started in the month of August, 2011, as an alternative to conventional music. Although founder Bruce Coates was aware that several counter-cultures already existed, he was compelled to create his own digital adaptation of noise music. This was partly in response to the increasing role of computers in modern music, as well as the rapid growth of technology in general. Other intentions behind Phisting Ass include social commentary, humour and your sister.
