Completely Gone Recordings (CGR for short) is a netlabel based in Orange County, California and is run by musician / artist / record producer Josh McCurdy. The label has existed since 1987 & originally released compact cassettes and was heavily influenced by cassette culture. In 2003 the label began to release CD-Rs. As the label came online in 2006, the CD-Rs stopped being released and Completely Gone Recordings entered the MP3 & file sharing world. CGR focuses on experimental music, musical improvisation, electronic music & independent music. Notable artists on the label include Dark Abyss, Doki Doki, Instagon, Josh McCurdy, Metek, Pythagora, Ruby & Scragnoth. CGR has released over 100 recordings.
