IRK is an American noise group that describe themselves as "The Cadillac Of Free-Form Music."

Bio

Formed in Mankato, Minnesota, IRK is a noise and free-form music ensemble started in summer of 2015. Influenced by other music collectives such as Tilth, AMM, Smegma and Ramleh, IRK stylistically uses Free Jazz Horns, Guitar based Noise, Tape Collages and Mixers in order to craft a 'unique' sound.

  • Fender Stratocasters, Reverb Pedals, Wah-Wah Pedals, Overdrive Pedals, Pitch Shifters, etc.
  • Behringer Mixers, Tube and Crate Amps, A belt-drive Turntable, Short-Circuit Radios.
  • Most of IRK's music is recorded onto a mid-1980's Radioshack Tape deck.
