"Turning Junk Into Punk Since 1985."

Mike Damn Nobody is the solo noise project of Mike Nobody, founded in 1990.

Origins

Mike Nobody began home recording experiments as a child in the 1970's, using cassette tape recorders.
A wide variety of musical styles were explored, including ventures into creating noise.
His first guitar was built from junk parts found in someone's trash, at the age of twelve.
In 1985, he began performing in a variety of rock music bands, to gain some experience, first as a vocalist, then as a bassist and guitarist.
His friendship with members of Princess Dragon-Mom, and others in the Metro Detroit noise scene, eventually led to public performances as a noisician.

Work and aesthetic

Performances typically consist of Mike Nobody wearing a lab coat and goggles.
He creates extremely loud noise using available music equipment, various types of found objects and recorded sounds, with the sound distorted and amplified until it is virtually unrecognizable.
Custom instruments are sometimes built, using found objects and electronics.
