Because this album was recorded over the course of a little over a year, there is an evolution factor in play as you listen to the album as [[Dr. Failure]] brings in new gear, new toys, new techniques, new sounds, et cetera. You witness his progression from the ever so simple No Input Mixing to using a couple of microphones, and a couple of pedals, all the way to using an analog synth and a tape deck on top of everything else.

This album's runtime is a little over 12 hours, making it not only [[Dr. Failure]]'s longest release, but also (according to [https://recordsetter.com/world-record/album/51683 The World Record for Longest Album]) the current world record for the longest album of original works (as of the date of release).

Another thing I should add, while making this album, the intent was not "longest album in the world", but as soon as I started nearing 10 hours of recorded material, I already realized that I had beat the world record, so I figured I'd just keep going with it until all 40 of the tracks I had drafted were recorded.

Background

White is Dr. Failure's thirteenth noise album. Dr. Failure on May 31, 2018 decided to start drafting up a noise album that had "white people stereotypes" as track titles. Eventually, he had 40 track names and had to record 40 noise tracks for this album. This process went on for 1 year and 14 days, making it Dr. Failure's longest worked on album to date.

Because this album was recorded over the course of a little over a year, there is an evolution factor in play as you listen to the album as Dr. Failure brings in new gear, new toys, new techniques, new sounds, et cetera. You witness his progression from the ever so simple No Input Mixing to using a couple of microphones, and a couple of pedals, all the way to using an analog synth and a tape deck on top of everything else.

This album's runtime is a little over 12 hours, making it not only Dr. Failure's longest release, but also (according to The World Record for Longest Album) the current world record for the longest album of original works (as of the date of release).

Another thing I should add, while making this album, the intent was not "longest album in the world", but as soon as I started nearing 10 hours of recorded material, I already realized that I had beat the world record, so I figured I'd just keep going with it until all 40 of the tracks I had drafted were recorded.
