30 Rock...total fantasy ror me.
A sitcom about New York Network tv studio and the people in the bad comedy variety show filmed there.
I guess maybe I could identify with the writers.
It has a good flow and some really good corny sex gender race class jokes.
Tracy Jordan is a total nut.

I started watching it from the first episode but what eventually killed it for m e was when they started shooting live shows.. if anything the change in how it looked killed it for me.. lol

30 Rock only ever had two live shows, one in the fourth season and one in the sixth (they did east coast and west coast versions of them, so, if you want, you can count it as four shows). That's all. At least one of those episodes (along with at least one other non-live episode) is no longer streamable due to a portrayal of a character in blackface. I love the live shows. This bit is about the best thing Alec Baldwin has ever done:

The only episodes I don't like are the two Queen of Jordan episodes (in seasons five and six). I don't like "reality" TV shows, and somehow fake reality TV shows are even worse.

It seemed like there were more.. did they shoot some on "video" instead of "film" ?

Speaking of episodes not available I'm playing through all of Always Sunny and I haven't gotten to that episode where they recreate Lethal Weapon Six yet but I'm guessing Hulu shitcanned it as well.

I don't think so, but I can't find a source for that technical information. I've watch the entire show (all seasons, skipping Queen of Jordan episodes, usually) through five times (it reduces my use of alprazolam). I don't see any sort of video/film differences among the episodes. Which episode(s) do you think look extra-video-y?

I ordered the dvds a month or two ago.
Worth $5 or so.
And! the DVD has the bonus lethal weapon. Six 'film'
The black face is especially special twisted and if I recall Dennis tries calling mac out about it...I think Charlie amd dee mention how fucked up it is.
