Xtul is an experimental/improv noise/drone project from the Yucatan, Mexico, running since 2009, when E.rp founded it alongside J.Beci (both of black metallers Kavra fame).

The first releases are much in the improvisational noise corner while the recent output of the project shows them aiming into sound collages and post-industrial droning dark ambient.

The original concept of the project traces back to the shadowy, germinal presence of the english/american cult known as The Process Church in the local beaches of Xtul, Yucatan during the sixties. This is the locals response fifty years later.

Xtul released in 2012 their first full length through Obfuscated Records.
