Aznohkantzer (meaning 'Asno Cancer' the spanish word for 'ass cancer' or 'cancer of the ass') was a Humor-orientated Grindcore/Noisecore Band originating from Germany.

Biography

The band formed in April 2006 by Marion Zork and Dave Rotten (both sharing guitar and vocal duties while using a crappy arrhytmic drum computer). A 4-Track EP entitled 'Aznohkantzer EP' was quickly recorded and released via the Internet as a MP3 File. After some mostly positive feedback, a few more songs were recorded, which made up the first half of what was going to become the 'Who Cares?' album. Another six songs were recorded in July 2006 with Dave Rotten playing percussion (namely some cardboard boxes and a crash cymbal). Second guitarist Der Schwarze Abt joined the band a few months later. The first album 'Who Cares?' was released by the band themselves on September 10, 2006. It consisted of 12 new songs plus the first EP clocking in at less than 14 minutes.

Over the following months Aznohkantzer recorded 33 songs for a split album with Musikantenstadl Massaker (Electro Noisegrind from Germany) and Ignorants? (HC-Grind from Brazil), which has yet to be released (though it was announced for an upcoming release in either 2009 or 2010). The band became inactive by July 2007 with Dave Rotten leaving a few weeks prior. A digital maxi single of the song 'Jung + Willig' (a leftover from a previous session) came out in November 2007. There were talks of recording new stuff, but Aznohkantzer officially disbanded shortly after.
